The Bonbrook subdivision has 42 acres of wooded common ground. It is the Board’s policy that dead trees, fallen trees, etc., within the wooded areas are left to “Mother Nature” to take care of. However, if there is a tree on the borderline of any homeowner’s property or along the walking trail that threatens to fall and damage homeowner’s property the Board will take action to remove the threat. Please contact a board member should you have a common ground tree that could cause a problem for your property.
The Board has recently finalized a new CC&R addendum, Resolution 01-10 which as been signed by the Board of Directors and is presently being notarized. It will then be sent to the Williamson Country records office for recording in the Book of Records. This resolution clarifies the CC&R Article IV, COVENANT FOR MAINTENACE, ASSESSMENTS, section 7, DATE OF COMMENCEMENT OF ANNUAL ASSESSMENTS: DUE DATES, and section 8, EFFECT OF NONPAYMENT OF ASSESSMENTS: REMEDIES OF THE ASSOCIATION. The resolution will state the schedule of annual dues payments and actions/penalties for late dues payments. The document is expected to be mailed to each homeowner by the end of September, 2010. When you receive the document, please add it to your copy of the CC&Rs. The resolution will also be added to the web site which has the complete copy of the CC&Rs and previously published addendums. If you need a copy of the CC&Rs you can print a copy via the web site.
Up until 2 years ago, Bonbrook was blessed with a very active social committee. For quite a few years, this committee organized events for our neighborhood such as: Easter egg hunts for the children; Halloween parade and party for the children; Christmas party with Santa for the children; a neighborhood ice cream social; women’s luncheons and a neighborhood BBQ. With the exception of the Santa party and women’s luncheons, all activities where held at the pavilion and playground. However, the committee was disbanded in 2008 and since then we have been blessed with a few of our residents that have kept the Halloween and Christmas functions alive. Our residents and the Board members thank those that volunteered and truly appreciate their efforts.
We would like to see a new social committee formed to continue events such as those mentioned above. The annual budget sets aside money for the social events, so it is not a financial burden on any volunteer. If you have any desire to help out and be a social committee member, please contact any Board member. We will need approximately 5 to 6 volunteers to comprise the committee and look forward to re-activating the committee.
